We have some news. And for once, it doesn’t involve us failing to traverse the Cuillin Ridge, forgetting our waterproofs in Wales, or discovering that people actually snorkel in bogs for fun.
We are incredibly proud to announce that Adventure Brits has been named “Best Outdoor Travel Content Platform 2025” at the SME News Best of British Getaways Awards.
Yes, us. The small, independent team of outdoor nerds who spend arguably too much time typing about mud and rain.
So, what does this mean?
Officially, it means Adventure Brits has been recognised for our “excellence in the sector” and our contribution to British travel.
The award recognised high-performing small and medium enterprises committed to serving their clients across the UK. Unofficially, it means that spending our weekends scrambling up peaks and our weeknights furiously typing up the evidence has actually paid off.
We are especially proud of this one because we’re a small, independent crew. We’re now award-winning.
We don’t have a massive corporate machine behind us; there’s just a couple of us with a genuine obsession with the UK’s wild places and a desire to tell people about them. We write because we love it. We write because we think the United Kingdom – with all its drizzle, drama, and green glory – is the best playground in the world.
Keeping it Real (and Occasionally Damp)
We like to think it’s due to our dedication to first-person accounts and opinion pieces in a world of curated AI drivel.
We’ve always believed that outdoor content shouldn’t just be polished photos of people in pristine gear and dreamy articles with the inconveniences and discomforts edited out. Real adventure is messy. It’s sweaty. It involves getting slightly geographical embarrassed (lost) and finding a pub that serves chips at 3PM.
This award is a nod to that philosophy. It celebrates the fact that we tell it like it is — whether that’s the euphoria of a sunrise in the Highlands or the misery of getting sick after a wild dip.
